These couches or proofing cloths are made of 100% high quality French bakery linen (natural untreated fibre), as used by artisan bakers to proof baguettes, batons and other artisan loaves. The loafs hold their shape because they are supported by the cloth. Unlike cotton fabric, linen also has the added advantage of being practically non-stick and fast drying. The name of the makers and 'fabriqué en France' are woven into the border of the linen.

This 100 cm / 39.4 inches version, with a width of 60 cm / 24 inches can comfortably hold 4 baguettes or batons. When finished, simply give the linen a good shake, or you can, if you prefer, fold it up for next time, after letting it dry completely. If you need to wash the linen, always wash in cold water.Delivered with instructions for use and care.
