These couches or proofing cloths are made of 100% high quality French bakery linen, as used by artisan bakers to proof baguettes and other artisan loaves. The loafs hold their shape because they are supported by the cloth. Unlike cotton fabric, linen also has the added advantage of being practically non-stick and it does not leave any fluff on your loafs. The name of the makers and 'fabriqué en France are woven into the border of the linen.

This 200 cm cloth can hold 8 to 10 loaves. When finished, simply give the linen a good shake, or you can, if you prefer, roll it up for next time, after letting it dry completely. If you need to wash the linen, always wash in cold water. Delivered with instructions for use and care.
